Purbeck Plod Challenge Walk 2025
This event in the beautiful Purbeck countryside is normally an annual one but was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid.
The East Dorset Ramblers Group organised The Purbeck PLod again in both 2022 and 2023 with the same three routes followed in 2019. It ran again in 2024 with a revised route after a cliff fall. In 2025 the routes changed again to avoid the steep hill near the end. The 25 mile route (run or walk) following the Coast Path from Swanage to Kimmeridge, then inland via Ridgeway Hill, Corfe Castle and down through the fields to Swanage. The now 17-mile route for walkers only using a link from the coast via Kingston to Corfe Castle and the recently added 12-mile route. For news of the next Plod please visit East Dorset Ramblers
It is hoped that the event will take place in 2026, but we are currently short of volunteers to run it.
